Whirlwind MLTDIR Overview
The MultiDirector from Whirlwind is a four channel direct box that converts an unbalanced line, instrument or speaker level signal to low impedance balanced microphone level, which is then suitable for imputing to a console or microphone preamp.

Each of the four individual channels has three standard 1/4" unbalanced, high impedance bridging jacks for connection to instruments and amplifiers. All are wired in parallel and can be used in any combination for input and through connections. Two are located on the rear panel with the third on the front.

The unit is a passive device and therefore requires no external power supply. The unit features a ground lift switch and a 20dB pad for selecting between line/instrument or speaker level signals.
