1970s Mako Electric Guitar

This appears to be an early model, most likely Matsumoku made. It has a great feel with a very nice neck profile and surprisingly good tone.
All three pickups have strong output and all electronics are working as intended. It has been set up with a truss rod adjustment, action and intonations set with new Ernie Ball Slinky 10-46 strings and it plays great. It''s got a great stratty tone that rings like a bell.
The mirrored pickguard appears to be original and the volume and tone knobs were taken from an early Squier Stratocaster. The rest of the guitar appears to be original and everything works great with a nice, straight neck. The original tuners are a bit crunchy but tune up just fine. There are some dings, scratches and signs of wear, with the most significant wear being the scuffs on the boot/back of the guitar, as pictured. The pickguard has some worming type marks around the edges and cracks near the controls and the frets show minor wear with no fretting out or buzzing issues. 1970s Mako Electric Guitar1970s Mako Electric Guitar1970s Mako Electric Guitar1970s Mako Electric Guitar1970s Mako Electric Guitar
